The Government of Canada has announced that Natural Products Canada (NPC), headquartered in Charlottetown, PEI, will receive $14 million over five years. The Centres of Excellence for Commercialization and Research (CECR) funding will help establish Canada as a global leader in research, development and commercialization of natural products, focusing on nutraceuticals and cosmeceuticals; functional foods and food ingredients; agricultural products, animal feed ingredients and veterinary care products; and green replacements for chemically derived products.
