After seven years of tireless service to the NHPRS, four founders of the Society stepped down as Directors at the 2009 NHPRS Annual General Meeting:

• Paula Brown, founding Society member, longtime treasurer and co-chair for the NHPRS conferences in 2009, 2008 in Vancouver & Toronto;
• Allison McCutcheon, founding Society member, the first NHPRS President, and co-chair of the first and second NHPRS conferences in Montreal & Vancouver;
• Alister Muir, founding Society member, co-chair of the NHPRS conference in 2007 in Saskatoon and key contributor to the Society, including service on the AGM committee; and
• John Thor Arnason, founding Society member and key contributor to the Society, including facilitation of the relationship with Pharmaceutical Biology.

The other founders of the Society include Heather Boon, Colin Briggs, Patrick Choy, Emma Guns, Pierre Haddad, Connie Kehler, Tim Lee, and Paul Saunders.
NHPRS owes its existence, continuity and success to each of these individuals.
